THE LAND WITH THE NAME OF WINE

Wine as culture, as landscape, as gastronomy

La Rioja is the land with the name of wine. Nothing is understood without him. It is a reflection of our history. Around him extends a culture that goes beyond its development or its way of enjoying it. A culture that, based on tradition, guides us towards the future.

LA TIERRA CON NOMBRE DE VINO

There are many ways to enjoy wine. Knowing their history and what it means for La Rioja is one of them.

Very close to Ezcaray is Haro, Capital of the Rioja, whose Barrio de la Estación is the largest concentration of centennial wineries in Spain. The Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture is also very close, and there are many wineries that can be visited just a few kilometers from Ezcaray, in the so-called wine villages such as Ollauri or San Vicente de la Sonsierra.

In the Alaves town of Elciego, the visit to the City of Wine by Marqués de Riscal is almost forced by its architecture signed by Frank Ghery.

In autumn, the landscapes of the wine flood La Rioja with ocher and golden tones in a sea of calm vineyards after the intense activity of the grape harvest.
